Hello, this is John Grande coming to you once again from DimeSoft Business Solutions. As always, I am thrilled to be talking about Acumatica ERP. Today we will be talking about standard reports inside of Acumatica. Let's go ahead and, jump into the cloud, and take a look.
Here we are back inside of Acumatica ERP. We're going to go ahead and take a look at one of the reports inside of the sales order module. I will go to the distribution suite, sales orders, and then the reports tab here. What we will be looking at will be the sales order details by customer report, which is a standard report that comes with Acumatica. Now keep in mind, these reports can be modified and customized, or you can create reports from your own. What we're looking at is some of the key features within a standard report.
Before we actually look at the report, you see we have a few filters here. These filters present us with different parameters we can use the pull up the report. I'm going to go ahead and change the date to the first of the year. That's my start date. My end date I will change to October 1st. I am going to choose my headquarter warehouse. I am going to save this as a template, which means every time I would like these parameters, instead of having to set these manually, I can just go ahead and to the template that I had set up before.
I'm going to click save template. It's going to ask me to name it before I can save it. We'll call this one HQ Warehouse. Now when I save it, it's going to confirm the name. I'll click okay. Now it's saved. If I was to leave this report and come back to it, you'll see that the filters are blank, but now the template is here under my list of templates. All I have to do at this point is simply click run report. Here is my report. You could tell right here that I'm looking at the first page of 11 pages. To advance through pages, all I have to do is click on these arrows. Or I can click on this one to bring me to the last page, or this one to bring me to the first page. Very simple.
Whenever you see hyperlinks like this inside of Acumatica, that means you could drill down to see the actual document or record. If I click on this sales order, for example, you'll see that the sales order is now open. Not only is it open, but it's open in a completely separate tab. When I'm done viewing it, all I have to do is close this tab and I'm back to the report again.
Also, if I care to find a group, in this particular case the group is customer, I go to groups. Let's just say I want to go find where the information for Westwood Manor is. I would just click on that and it will bring me right to that page. Here are the Westwood Manor sales orders. I can print this report right from here. I could also send it via email to somebody just by clicking send. I'd have to give it a subject, type in whatever message I would like, and you'll see that the report is attached to this email as a PDF document. Here it is as a PDF.
Once again, this PDF is in a separate tab, so I can always go back to the report. We're not going to actually send this email. I also have the ability to export this report as an Excel file or as a PDF. If I just want to view it as a PDF, I click view PDF and here it is. I can save it to my hard drive, or I can print it, etc.
