Inventory Management System
An eCommerce company came to DimeSoft with a problem they were having with inventory control. This company had an industry standard accounting system for small businesses and a shopping cart to manage their website but as their business grew they needed an inventory control system to manage their warehouse.
After a brief consultation and some custom design work our customer wound up always being aware of real time stock levels, having streamlined order and receiving workflows, and having accurate costs of goods sold (COGS) and valuation reports.
Job Shop Support
A DimeSoft customer was running an enterprise level ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system that managed most of their workflows including accounting and sales order workflow. However, in addition to being a distribution company they also manufactured custom products, made to order.
DimeSoft created a system that took custom orders from design to prototype; from design revisions to final approval. The new application even managed manufacturing, bill of goods and job floor costing. The system created by DimeSoft made the process incredibly more efficient and kept custom orders on budget.
Sports Photography Management
A sports photography company would send their staff to child and teenage sporting events and tournaments, take hundreds of action photos per day at dozens of games and have those photographs uploaded to a central kiosk. The parents and relatives of the young athletes would come by the kiosk later that day, view the photographs and order prints that can be produced while they wait. However, the photography company was frustrated because they also wanted to offer discount packages for multiple photographs, be able to customize photos and ship to the customer later that week, or take orders via phone, email or website at a later date. Unfortunately, with the volume of images being produced just the thought of managing these workflows was overwhelming.
DimeSoft created a custom system that produced an organized approach to storing and cataloging the images. The company grew into being able to provide the additional products and services they had only dreamed of. As a side note, the return on investment (ROI) for this project was met after only three events and has since become the company´s largest profit center.
